What is car servicing?

Whereas an MOT is essentially an inspection to ensure your vehicle meets safety standards, a service checks your vehicle against manufacturers guidelines.
When should you book a car service?
There are two main types of services an interim service which is recommended every 6 months or 6,000 miles and a full service which is recommended every 12 months or 12,000 miles. You may also notice a service light appear on your dashboard in the shape of a spanner.
What does car servicing involve?
